MySayang Malaysia, an NGO known for its commitment to spreading love and support to those in need, recently held a special event to give back to orphans and single mothers ahead of the upcoming Aidilfitri celebrations. The event, “Sumbangan Kasih Ramadan: A Gift for Orphans and Single Mothers,” took place at PPAS Bangi on 25 March 2025.
This annual initiative from MySayang is a beautiful reminder of the importance of coming together to share kindness and joy with the less fortunate. At this event, 50 recipients, a mix of children and adults received food packages and new clothes to help them celebrate Aidilfitri with a little more joy.
Words of Encouragement from the President of MySayang

The event kicked off with a speech from YM Tengku Loreta Tengku Dato’ Setia Ramli Alhaj, the President of MySayang. She reminded everyone that Hari Raya is more than just a festive occasion; it’s an opportunity to reconnect and share love with those who need it most. “In the midst of our own celebrations, let’s not forget those who need support and affection,” she said.

Following the speech, the highlight of the event was the distribution of food packages and Hari Raya clothes, generously sponsored by Bulan Bintang. The recipients, a group of 50 orphans and single mothers, were all smiles as they received their gifts, which not only lightened their burdens but also filled their hearts with festive cheer. This gesture of kindness is exactly what MySayang stands for: ensuring that even those who are struggling feel the warmth and joy of the season.

YM Tengku Loreta shared a special message for the orphans and single mothers in attendance: “Remember, you all have a bright future ahead of you. Keep working hard, stay focused, and believe in your dreams. We, at MySayang, will always be here to support and cheer you on.”
It was a moment of reassurance and encouragement, reminding them that they are not alone in their journey.
Spreading the Love to IPD Kajang
After the event at PPAS Bangi, the MySayang team moved on to their next mission: showing appreciation to the police officers at IPD Kajang. They handed out iftar meals as a token of gratitude for the officers’ tireless efforts in keeping the community safe. To further express their appreciation, YM Tengku Loreta, along with Ir Rashdi, Executive Chairman of Nexium Sdn Bhd, also donated two air conditioning units to the police station, ensuring the officers have a more comfortable environment during their shifts.
Both events ended with a group photo session, capturing the smiles of all those involved, from the recipients to the volunteers and sponsors. As MySayang Malaysia continues to strengthen its mission of spreading love and care, it is clear that initiatives like this are not just about giving away gifts, but about making a lasting impact in the community.
With the spirit of Ramadan in full swing, MySayang looks forward to continuing its efforts in bringing happiness and support to those who need it most.
