YAB Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim joined thousands of Malaysians to celebrate the Majlis Sambutan Aidilfitri MADANI in Perak last night. The festive event, co-organised by the Perak State Government and the Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT), was also attended by Minister YB Nga Kor Ming.
Sambutan Aidilfitri MADANI: A Festival of Unity, Love, and Togetherness

The celebration, themed “Ihsan Menyentuh Jiwa, Toleransi Menyatu Negara” (Compassion Touches the Soul, Tolerance Unites the Nation), reflected the spirit of Malaysia MADANI, a vision built on values of compassion, respect, and solidarity. More than just a festive gathering, the event symbolised the government’s commitment to inclusivity and grassroots engagement.
A Celebration for All

The event welcomed all levels of society; children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (OKU), in a heartwarming display of unity. An estimated 35,000 people attended the celebration, which created a vibrant, harmonious atmosphere resonating with the inclusive spirit of Aidilfitri.
Firefighters Show Their Talents
Adding to the excitement was the participation of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM). Their “Fire Kitchen” served up hot favourites like fried noodles, keropok lekor, banana fritters, and cempedak goreng, just as they would during disaster operations. The Bomba Combo also entertained the crowd with musical performances.
Local Flavours, Traditional Treats
Guests were treated to an array of traditional Malaysian delights, including laksa, mini murtabak, ayam golek, apam Lenggong, and the famous Ipoh White Coffee. PEKB (Community Urban Economic Empowerment Program) entrepreneurs, trained under the national eKasih system, proudly served apam Perak, highlighting their journey from B40 communities to business owners.
Chinese Community Adds Flavour to the Night
Entrepreneurs from the Kampung Baru Cina community showcased their culinary heritage with smoked meat, jambu asam boi, walnut cookies, Menglembu peanuts, tapioca chips, muruku, and traditional Chinese coffee served from mobile food trucks, bringing true Malaysian diversity to life.
A Night of Harmony and Shared Aspirations

Also present were cabinet ministers, state and federal leaders, strategic partners, and media practitioners. The event stood as a testament to the MADANI government’s ongoing efforts to nurture peace, inclusivity, and cultural richness across all races in Malaysia.
